The Newcastle Festival of Flight returns to Newcastle, Co Down on the 8th of August 2015 with amazing air displays, exhibitions, live music, street entertainment and so much more.
Now in its 6th year the Airshow attracts 100,00 people annually to the town with fast jets such as the Red Arrows and Eurofighter Typhoon and classic aircraft such as the Lancaster Bomber and Vulcan XH558 attending the show over the past number of years.
The Airshow started in 2010 as the ‘Harry Ferguson Festival of Flight’ marking the 100th anniversary of the very first official powered flight in Ireland, made in 1910 over the sands of Newcastle, Co Down by Harry Ferguson, Northern Ireland’s most celebrated engineer and inventor.
