Mr. Michael Hickey
Michael started in aviation in 1979 as an apprentice aircraft mechanic and prior to joining Ryanair in 1988 worked as an aircraft engineer on executive aircraft. Michael has held a wide range of senior positions in Ryanair and served as Director of Engineering with Ryanair from January 2000 to Dec 2013 when he then took on the role of Chief Operations Officer. A licensed engineer, he holds an MSc in Air Safety Management from City University London and a private pilot’s license. Michael left Ryanair at the end of 2017 and now runs his own aviation consultancy business MJH Aviation.
Mr. Billy Hann
Billy began his career with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) in 1994 providing engineering support services to Air Traffic Control. In his 24 years working for the IAA he has held multiple roles including the General Manager of Terminal Services. Recently, he has taken on the role of leading a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver the IAA’s parallel runway enabling projects at Dublin Airport, including a new, state of the art, 87m high visual control tower. He is also currently the Acting Director of ATM Operations and Strategy. Billy graduated in 1993 with a primary degree in Electronic Engineering and went on to complete an MSc in Operations management from Dublin City University. He also completed an MSc in Executive leadership from Ulster University.
Ms. Davina Pratt
Davina joined Aer Lingus 23 years ago as a cadet pilot, in 2006 was appointed to the position of Chief Pilot & Director Flight Operations in Aer Lingus, the first female to hold this position in a commercial airline worldwide. Since then she has worked as Chief Operations Officer with Stobart Air before returning to Aer Lingus in her current post of Director of Ground Operations.
She has flown the Boeing 737, BAe146, Airbus A320 and currently is a Captain on Airbus A330.
Davina also holds an Advanced Program for Leadership Development from Harvard Business School, Diploma in Employment Law and Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance Law from The Law Society, Ireland.
Mr. Joe Gill
Joe Gill is Director of Corporate Broking with Goodbody Stockbrokers. He has worked as an advisor to various aviation companies including IAG, Ryanair, the IAA and Aer Lingus. He formerly worked as an equity analyst specialising in European low cost carriers. Joe is a graduate of University College Cork.
Ms. Aideen Gahan
Aideen Gahan is a solicitor and is company secretary for the Irish Aviation Authority.
Mr. Kevin Humphreys
A former Irish Air Corps pilot, Kevin is a qualified pilot on many aircraft types. On leaving the Irish Air Corps, Kevin was Chief Inspector of Aircraft Accidents in the Department of Transport and subsequently worked as Director of Safety Regulation with the IAA.
Mr. Hugh Flynn
Hugh has held aviation CEO positions in the United States, UK, South Africa and Ireland spanning 23 years. He currently heads up ASL Aviation Holdings based in Ireland, which includes nine airlines in Ireland, South Africa, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, Spain, India and Thailand. Together with its aviation support companies and leasing activities, the ASL fleet consists of over 140 aircraft, ranging from B747/B777/B737 series, A300, Hercules and ATR types which operate worldwide.
